Out with the Old...

Welcome to the newly designed DennisAlfrey.com.
After more than a decade of using the same website design, I decided to update the look of the site starting with my logo. The old logo of white letters on a blue ellipse is replaced with a bolder, calligraphic ambigram.
As before, I went with the "less is more" design. A carousel, a blog, and links to my other sites, all framed nicely with my ambigram built in.
I hope you enjoy the new look and visit when you have time.

June 29th marked the end of an era. Brain Teasers on Odd Times came to an end.

I created a set of Brain Teasers to use for my porposal to Mina. When solved, it professes my love to her and leads up to the big question.

One that is handmade in Sweden by a jewelry maker/industrial engineer who works exclusively with an advanced glow-in-the-dark composite material designed by NASA to be used on the International Space Station.

On October 19th, 2013, Mina and I attended an art tribute to The Big Bang Theory at Gallery Nucleus in Pasadena, CA.
Dressed as our favorite characters from the show, we entered the costume contest along with a dozen other contestants. Audience applause determined the winner. After a quick process of elimination, it came down to Mina and myself. Guess who won.

FRIENDLY THROWING CONTEST
My sister and her husband have some
fun throwing knives in their backyard.
